- Who is MyPract for?
- Accounting, audit and tax firms, from a solo practitioner to firms with more than 30 people, anywhere in the world. Every user gets every module.
- What does “AI-native” mean here?
- The assistant works on the same records as the rest of the app, with your permissions, and can make changes, not only answer questions. Your own AI agent can connect through MCP and gets the same tools and the same rules.
- What can the assistant change, and what can it not?
- It can create and update clients, engagements, tasks, time entries and invoices, and move records to Trash or restore them, each after you confirm. It cannot approve time, change roles or settings, or send email.
- Which AI agents can I connect?
- Claude, ChatGPT, or any client that supports remote MCP servers. Owners and Admins connect at mypract.com/mcp, pick one workspace and choose read-only or read and write. There is no general-purpose REST API or Zapier integration.
- Where is my data stored, and who sees it?
- In your country. Today everything runs in Mumbai, India (AWS ap-south-1) through Supabase; a paying firm outside India gets its own in-country instance. Data is isolated per workspace with row-level security. AI features send the text they work on to Anthropic's Claude API; Owners and Admins can switch AI off.
- What currency am I billed in?
- Firms outside India pay in US dollars on three annual plans: Startup $189/year for up to 5 users, Growing $49 and Enterprise $39 per user per year. Firms in India pay in rupees on one plan with volume pricing. Both start with three months free and no card.
- Can I bring my existing data?
- Yes. Import clients from Excel or CSV and past timesheets from CSV. Every row is checked before it is saved.
- Is there a mobile app?
- Not yet. MyPract and the client portal both work in a phone browser.
